Fingal Scatter Series (2011-03-03)

Really fun event. Basically a sprint score O.
I decided to ware my XC spikes for the laugh.

Took off fairly hard, pretty open park land. I somehow managed to forget my plan and skip two controls, so had to double back to get them - foolishly dropping 45sec. Was clean for the rest of the course and kept it below lactic.
Coming into my "last" control Shea was coming out. High 5's as he took the win. I ran in after him to finish what I though was second. To my horror Kev was panned out on the ground. Looking well finished! I was shocked. How did he managed that. Luckily enough, he missed a control and so was out.
So I got second... or so I thought. Val shouted over and said I only got 17... on seeing my map, I realised what I did so took off to get the last one.
Finished 4th or 5th... woops.

Good fun all the same. Coffee/hot dog was pretty good to finish off the session.
